A COMPLETE APPRAISAL REPORT

A personal property appraisal report is a written report of valuation or estimation of value by a professional with suitable qualifications. The professional appraiser is trained in valuation with experience in product selection and market analysis. The appraisal document is signed and dated, and will list any assumptions and limiting conditions that impact value. The definition of value type used, and the intended use and effective date of the appraisal are also noted. The appraisal report explains value procedures and conclusions, while clarifying any noted justifications. The property being appraised is properly described, along with notations of literature, provenance and exhibition history if applicable. The professional appraiser also certifies that the appraisal report has been written to the proper report writing standards. The completed appraisal report will contain the credentials and qualifications of the appraiser. When hiring a qualified and credentialed appraiser, the client is assured of receiving a complete, unbiased appraisal report based upon accepted principles of valuations and industry accepted report writing guidelines.
